Do you know your goal?

I am going to ask you a question.  After reading the questions I want you to stop reading, answer the question and then continue reading the rest of the blog post. Here is the question:

What is the goal of the defense in a football game?

I think many people make mistakes by not setting goals to obtain whatever it is they are after.  I think as big a problem with not setting goals, is setting unrealistic goals or not setting the bar high enough. I was once told a quote about goals…. many people fail in life, not for lack of ability or brains or even courage but simply because they have never organized their energies around a goal. What is the goal of the defense in a football game?

How do you organize your energy around a certain goal? If you have not done this, you need to!  You must start anything you are planning with a goal.  I will give you three rules for setting your goals.  Rule #1 Make it attainable. If you are 6′ 10″ and 355 lbs.  your goal should not be to be a pole vault champion.  Rule #2 Make your goal realistic.  Some may think this is the same as rule #1 however being realistic is not the same to me.  What I mean by realistic is this:  do not set a goal of winning the lottery… although it may be very attainable, it is not realistic, be real or realistic with you goals.  And last but not least, Rule #3 is Never sell your goals short.  Make sure you set you goal high enough that it will take “Work”, No I mean “Hard Work” to obtain it.   click arrow below to read more ->
